The Christian Science Monitor notes that guitar heroes are gone from rock 'n' roll. Look at the type of music they're playing. With today's redundant, slow-mo, three-cord styles and pseudo-haunting vocals, there's little room left for another Beck, Page, or Clapton. It's all about "brooding, darkness and introspection" from no-talent artists like Elliott Smith.
